Anand, Kramnik and FIDE inspect the venue

Posted by claudiu.tanasescu@sharedimension.com on 12 October 2008
The players complete with their teams have arrived in Both, ready for the match and today they have inspected the playing venues and facilities.

While most of the things were OK, both Vladimir and Vishy had problems with their chairs. UEP really got top quality chairs so the issue was solved immediately.

Rest rooms were next to be checked and Vishy even has an iron in his rest room. Both players have showers and separate bathrooms (where not cameras are present :).

The technical side was also inspected and Foidos team was happy to see the players were satisfied with the setup.

Enjoy some photos below, complete with a new Foidos screenshot showing the commentator interactivity features.

Next comes the official press conference.

T minus 3 and counting

Posted by claudiu.tanasescu@sharedimension.com on 10 October 2008

Another hard working day has come to an end. We are happy to see the web farm running and all servers are performing remarkably.
Everyday I am amazed by the complex team effort required to put together an event of such scale. From the technical team in Bundeskunsthalle to the designers and branding teams to the technical team from UEP and Foidos.
I’ve included another collection of quick snapshots and we’re also including a screenshot of the actual Foidos application that you will be able to see pretty soon.

3 days to the tournament and counting.

Tomorrow there will be a full inspection of the venue by both players teams.

Second Foidos Online test passed !

Posted by admin1 on 01 October 2008
Only 12 days left until the World Chess Championship and counting.
Here at the Foidos team the work is going full speed to finalize all the features we want to see into the application.

The last test we ran on Thursday the 25th was again extremely helpful.
The test was crucial in getting the integration with our Content Distribution Network and other functionality tested.
We are happy to see that very few problems have surfaced.

The interactivity module takes shape and now not only you can see the commentator analysis board but you can also send questions and get live answers by the Grand Masters themselves.
